HPN conference places for Shuri members October 2022
Thank you to the Healthcare Partnership Network (HPN) for funding places for our members to attend the conference in Nottingham. Feedback from one of our Fellows: ” I just want to say that the Conference was a real insight, and it was interesting to see what is out there. I would never have had the opportunity if it had not been through your organisation. Networking and speaking with people really built my confidence which is valuable to me personally and to my role. ”
The NHS Digital Shuri Bursaries for the Digital Health Summer School July 2022
The Shuri Network, NHS Digital and the Digital Health team created opportunities to encourage and facilitate diverse representation and attendance at the Digital Health Summer School 2022. NHS Digital provided 20 women from minority ethnic groups who are members of the Network with a bursary to cover the cost of the Summer School. This was a great success and we aim to collaborate on this for next year’s Summer School. Join the Network to hear of future bursary offers.
Feedback from Amanda Francis, one of our bursary winners, “It was great to meet so many new and interesting people all passionate about the future of the NHS and improving its services by digitisation. The keynote discussions were tremendously informative, and I was encouraged by the attention given to managing convergence and developing digital skills and digital capabilities while transforming the workforce. The sessions made me realise how much knowledge and learning is available via the Shuri Network. It was both uplifting and rewarding to learn that inequalities in the workforce are being addressed and schemes organised to redress the balance.”
The Shuri Bursaries for FCI Membership 2022/23
The Shuri Network and the Faculty of Clinical Informatics have also joined forces to support our members. For the second year, the Shuri Network has provided clinical and non-clinical members with a bursary to cover the cost of a year’s membership of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics in 2022/23.
