Supporting the award-winning Shuri Network, which is the first national NHS and social care network of women from minority ethnic backgrounds in digital health and care. The Network champions safety, innovation, diversity and provides BAME women with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to deliver patient-centred and effective digitally-enabled practice. This role is fundamental in helping the work of the Network to run smoothly, and to achieve our stated aims of supporting best practice in digital health for the needs of a diverse society, by a diverse workforce.
Job summary
We are seeking a part-time (2.5 days / week) Business Support Officer. The Shuri Network steering group and Business Support Officer will generally work remotely although may be required to travel across the UK to support our face to face events and activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter with an interest in digital innovation, diversity and inclusion in health and social care. You will have proven business support skills, the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and a desire to make a difference.
You will be an enthusiastic, organized and dynamic individual and be able to provide excellent administrative support to our Steering Group and Programme Manager. The postholder must be proficient when dealing with digital systems, including maintaining our app and website. They will also be able to respond to queries with great attention to detail and will be expected to deliver a high standard of administration support to the team.
We are looking for someone who possesses excellent communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook), strong interpersonal skills, be experienced in minute taking and able to keep to set deadlines. You will enjoy being part of a team but be able to work autonomously. Organisational and time management skills will also be critical in this role.

Main duties of the job
You will be a key part of our team and will play an active role in contributing to the management and delivery of our projects, events and programmes. You will support our vision, aims and objectives.
You will provide administrative and secretarial support for the Steering Group and Shuri Projects and Programmes, including:
• working closely with the Chair and members of the steering group to support successful delivery of Shuri projects
• provide secretarial support for steering group meetings
• liaise with our members and partners
• file documents for easy reference and governance purposes,
• manage arrangements for events and meetings
• assist with the management of our membership database
• support our communications including social media, App, website content and our newsletter
• work closely with our Fellowship programme manager to support with admin and programme activities / tasks.
You will need to be able to work at a fast pace, adapting quickly and being flexible as the Network grows and develops new offers for our members. You will be supported by the Steering Group to develop new skills, experience and leadership capabilities, and benefit from working with senior leaders and innovators in health and technology.
